MEGAPACKS

Pack Details: The Top Leagues contains the top clubs of many, many nations.  Currently, the MEGAPACK is split into six seperate pieces, as downloading all of them is too massive for any site to hold.  There are many people and sites that have given genrously of their time and knowledge, namely my main man kumquat_s from FM-View, Bard, Orthodox, and company over at SerbianFM, and the FMXpert boys led by the always fantastic Jonas.  Without these lads, this never would have worked.

Last year, these packs were downloaded over 35,000 times.  It was a massive project met with an equally massive response.  All combined, these packs were the result of over 700+ hours of work.  So you can fathom that it's a bit large.  As this is a six-part download, I will list all the nations in each version (note that version 1.01 has two parts), so that way you can see what it is that you are getting in each.  If you are really observant, you may notice that there is not a version 1.02 - I have combined all of 1.02 into version 1.03 so that there is one less download.

I have not updated anything as of yet for FM12 - so the leagues will have some shifting and relagating of clubs between them.  If you want everything that I have done in a particual nation, I suggest going to that nation's download page, where you will get a bunch more stadiums than what is in these.

Details:

This pack contains over 500 stadiums, all used by the national teams of 218 nations in the game.

A great addition for any manager playing as a national team manager, or for use when scouting any nation on earth.

Previous Release:  All released individually in seperate packs over the last year, now they are all here in one location with minty fresh links for you folks to enjoy..

WIP: There's tons of work to do for FM12, and like everything, things are prioritized.  The megapacks are on the backburner from here on out, as I prefer to work on a nation-by-nation basis.  These are here for those that don't want to download all 800+ stadiums I have done for England, but just want the top leagues.  I may update these once I have finished the cursory work on the national packs (fixing FM12 issues, new stadiums, etc.), but I am not committing myself to it.

Just wanted to say, before its released, that I may have done most of the researching of the images, but it's Jon who has put the hard hours in here. Literally hours upon end of tweaking each image, coding them and generally making sure they work and look awesome in game. So a big thank you to Jon. It's a quality pack and something you should be proud of.

Just wanted to say, before its released, that I may have done the coding and editing of the images, but it's kumquat_s who has put in long hours finding the vast majority of shots, finding that last 1600x900 image to finish off a league takes some serious time.  But it's his work in finding images that gave me something to edit and code - without his work there would be nothing here.  Pete did an awesome job hunting down pics, and the care that he took in selecting images shows in this pack.  So a big thank you to Kumquat_s. It's a quality pack and something that you should be proud of.

Really looking forward to this one.  How will this work if you already have the England pack installed?  Will it just overwrite some of the files?

On another note if you guys are looking to add Polish stadiums at some point let me know and I can help you find some pictures.

You can pop it right in, and you shouldn't have any problems.  In fact, the coding on the new pack is flawless, so I'd think that it may improve the performance of my All-England pack, as it has some flaws in the config.xml file.  I am working on the solution to that, but it takes time to tweak the coding.  The new pack has flawless coding, and considering that it contains the Premiership through Conference North/South, it may make it better.

You may want to delete the "england" folder in the new pack, if space is an issue for you.  Otherwise - you won't have any issues with this pack.

And Poland?  Maybe.  No, no, no - we can put it on our list.  We'll take any images you've got, but please PM either myself or kumquat_s about it.  We'll tell you what to look for to find the right pics.  But remember, we may not use them, as hunting down pics is a joy in itself.

And the pack should be up in the next 24 hours, or so I've been told.  So keep comming back!  It will be up - I swear to you, good people!

cheers,
minneapolisJon

I was going to hold off on the Polish league until Stadia for Euro2012 are complete and opened. Clearly I should have done this with Ukraine too. Oh well.

But don't let that stop you researching etc... we are always happy to have more people looking for images.

I suggest, while backgrounds are enabled this year, that you use a dark skin with a filter through the image, since FM 2011 as released contains no filter, rendering the screen next to impossible to read.

Love the backgrounds, but like you said, everything's unreadable.

How do I create a filter? I'm using the 'perfecto' skin, if that helps!

I don't know that skin, so direct advice will be tough.  There is a mod that all skinners use to allow thier backgrounds a bit of a filter.  Since I know very, very little about skinning, all I can say is that there is a patch the Murray made, called the "murray fix"  here's a link to it:

The "Murray Fix

Scroll down to post #30, the link for the fix is there, as well as directions on how to install it.  I've never done it before, but the instructions seem very easy.  two minutes tops.  I hope that helps, and rep Murray on that post (the little green box) - he deserves it.

If that doesn't work, I highly recommend the "Steklo XI" skin by Tom Dixon, as well as Murray's skins which you can find here in the skins section.

Cheers,
minneapolisJon

Okay - I uploaded the wrong config file for the Denmark top league.  You can download the correct file here:

Denmark config.xml file - download

To use:  Download, then move to "Denmark" folder within the stadium BG pack.  When it says overwrite, choose "YES".

that's it.  The download should take less then five seconds.

Sorry about that, folks!

Okay people - BONUS league time....Greece's Superleague.  16 teams, Current members for the 2010-2011 season.  Consider it an apology pack for my fuck-up with the Danish config.xml file.

Posted Image

Instructions:  Download, then move to the folder that holds the backgrounds for the Top Leagues of Europe pack.  Don't forget to to "Confirm" under preferences on the first startup of FM 2011, so the pack is in the system. Downland the baby on the link below:

Greece - Superleague

Jon, Many thanks to you and all the people involved in this.
Just so I am up to date with whats happening, The English league has ongoing config issues where alot of the stadiums do not show on matchdays, the rest of the European stadiums are fine?

Is this correct?

Thanks.

No.  This MEGAPACK is flawless, including England.  This pack includes the EPL through Conference North & South.  The config's on this are fine.  It is my ALL-England megapack that has issues that are still to be resovled, but this pack is fine.

I did make one mistake with Denmark, and there is a link on the opening post to download a correct config and directions on what to do.  It should take you under a minute to resolve.  Follow the directions for that.  If you have any questions or need help, just shout.

Cheers,

hehehe - yeah, the response from the rest of the online community is huge, but here's it a bit quiet.  Odd, that...:tumbleweed:

But, 620 views on Release day is nothing to knock.  My All-England pack only had 250 views on release day.

Then it was downloaded 6,000 times in four weeks.

cheers, kumquat_s - and hey - I put Greece up.  Take a look see mate!

cheers,
minneapolisJon
